Criteria for Awarding Honorary Degrees

This phase of acquiring your Honorary Doctorate is actually quite simple. Most of our applicants give us feedback telling us of how they enjoyed the procedure!

1. Simply: tell us your "Cause to be honored".

Use a process of introspection in retrospect. This translates simply into: look inside yourself and tabulate or make note of all that you consider meaningful events both past and present.

Send along a Resume or brief autobiographical sketch or C.V. Tell us about yourself, your education, your abilities, talents, and accomplishments.

You may choose to send copies of that which you have written or that which was written about you. Submit any documents, photos, videos, tapes, papers, objects, computer disks etc. Everything is relevant, for example: Have you or an organization you have been affiliated with ever been the subject of internet, magazine, newspaper, television or radio articles?

(Please note: unless other arrangements are made, articles that are submitted cannot be returned… hence, don't send originals.)

2. Choose level of "Honorarium contribution".

On the application page you will find an area where different amounts for your contribution to the University can be selected. The registrar and office of academic administration must process your honorary doctorate application. This process requires your minimum Honorarium (contribution) of U.S. $2,000.

3. Use our convenient online Application Form (or download a printable application form) and mail or fax it to us, along with your Honorarium.

Note: With the online application form you may submit your "Honorarium Contribution" via MasterCard, Visa or Discover. If you mail the form please send us your credit card information or pay by personal check, Money Order, Western Union, Thomas Cooke Money gram etc. Feel free to contact our office Toll Free at: (312) 924-0710 if you have any questions or special needs.

*In the event an application for our Honorary Program is turned down, the entire Honorarium will be promptly returned to the applicant.
